The first half of 2026 has made one thing clear: AI is no longer a side project. It is becoming part of how every technology company operates.
The layoffs we have seen across the industry have been difficult and, in many cases, painful to watch. It is understandable that many people view them as a direct result of AI. In reality, most companies are reallocating resources toward AI infrastructure and rethinking where people create the greatest value.
The companies navigating this transition best are treating AI as a tool that amplifies human talent. Teams at Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta are building new workflows that pair automation with the creativity, judgment, and relationships that only people can provide.
That is especially important at Mythos. As AI becomes more capable, trust and authentic storytelling matter even more. Technology can help us move faster, but meaningful connections remain deeply human.
The second half of 2026 will bring even more change. The organizations that succeed will be the ones that embrace AI while continuing to invest in their people and culture.
For me, that is the real lesson of this moment: the future belongs not to AI alone, but to the people who learn to build with it.
